‘I feel, therefore I can be free’ – Audre Lorde

Meet Lilly

My journey into the world of psychotherapy and counselling was inspired by my interest in supporting people, combined with my own experience of therapy.

I have had different forms of therapy over the years and each taught, healed and uncovered different parts of myself.

Before embarking on this journey I worked for a few different charities that helped support those who are homeless, or at risk of. I have always been passionate about helping people through the difficulties life may present.

Experience

I hold an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Leeds. I am also a registered member of the BACP and abide by their ethical framework. I am committed to developing and I regularly undertake CPD workshops to keep my skills and knowledge up to date. I believe that there is always more to learn and grow from.

Previously I worked as a counsellor at TalkThru; a charity that supports people who have experienced baby loss or pregnancy related issues. I then worked at RASAC, supporting people 13+ as a domestic and sexual abuse counsellor. These therapeutic roles gave me a wealth of experience working with both short and long-term support. As well as working alongside trauma and in a trauma informed way.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience working with individuals experiencing stress, overwhelm, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem & self-worth, and relationship issues. A continuous theme was around self-work; the relationship they had with themselves. We worked on this by building confidence, self-awareness and self-compassion.
