Collaborative, Compassionate, Counselling

My Approach

Is underpinned by a humanistic and holistic model that puts you as the expert of your own journey. One that is interested in how you view yourself, relationships and the world around you.

Working together we can find ways to express words or feelings that are unique to you. This collaborative method allows us to explore any issues you are facing and identify inner resources to manage these.

Counselling can help you to develop coping strategies, process trauma, improve communication and relationships. It can help you overcome challenges, process difficult emotions, manage life transitions, bring self-awareness and clarity. It can help connect you back to yourself. Whatever you choose to explore I offer a warm, collaborative and compassionate holding space in which to do this.

I practice using a relational and integrative approach. Working in an integrative way allows me to draw on different therapeutic approaches (person centred, psychodynamic, gestalt & creative) and their various tools and techniques. This allows for an openness and flexibility to mould my approach to meet your needs.

To work relationally means that I aim to make you feel safe, listened to, valued and understood. I believe that our therapeutic relationship is at the core of the work we do together. I believe it is the most important foundation of the counselling process; the building of a safe, trusting, therapeutic relationship.

‘Lilly was a fantastic therapist. She helped me work through various issues at my own pace and provided me with tools so that I was capable of managing problems idependently. I would highly recommend.’ K – Client)
